The Christmas Tag — Part 1

Hi blog readers!

I might be a summer girl rather than an autumn and winter girl, but I love Christmas! It’s such a special, fun, exciting holiday, and it still gives me those magical feels. This year, as a special Christmas gift to you, my lovely blog readers, I thought I’d get some related content up on the blog, and have decided to do a Christmas tag post! This is part 1 — parts 2 and 3 will be on their way before Christmas Day. Think of it as an early present from me!

  • As a kid, did a sibling ever receive a present that you wished was for you?
I’m sure I must have done at some point! My sister got a Wii one Christmas, but I’m sure I must have been happy too because I’d have known that I was going to be able to use it! Plus her reaction was fantastic she was a child at the time and she was so happy!
  • Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
Giving! I like to think of myself as a bit of a queen of present-buying.
  • Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
    Yes, and almost never. 😉
  • Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Nope — this isn’t a Christmas tradition for my family!
  • Do you visit poor people’s places on Christmas Day?
No, but one year, I would like to volunteer on Christmas Day.
  • Have you ever made a snowman?
    Of course!

  • How many gifts do you receive for Christmas?
I’m not spoilt, but I feel very lucky for what I receive! From my parents, I tend to receive one main present, and then I get a few little gifts from them and my sister (and Santa still does me a small stocking). I also get gifts from some family, close friends and family friends.
  • How you decorate your house for Christmas?
I still live with my parents, and we stick to the same theme each year. Internally, most of our decorations are based around the colours red, green and gold — aside from the tree, we have, among other decs, a garland for the stairs, a light-up Santa, a snowglobe, a candelabra and a nativity scene. We also always decorate the outside of our house with lights!
  • Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Real! My parents trained in horticulture, so they always go for a real one.
  • Most memorable holiday moment?
My family have a bit of a tradition of getting together with my Uncle, Aunt, three of my cousins and my Gran for Christmas Day, and we always do board games or similar after lunch. The most memorable moment derives from the games section from one year!
