Review: Curio Lounge, Stroud

Recently, my sister and I went to the Curio Lounge in Stroud, part of The Lounges chain of restaurants, to have something to eat and drink.

This branch of the restaurant chain is set over two floors and is well-decorated and maintained.

The drinks menu has a great selection to choose from, and there were good food options too. Both food and drinks were reasonably-priced. For drinks, I had a strawberry milkshake while my sister had a lemonade. My drink came in a milk bottle-style glass (see below) and was a bit of a thin, rather than a thick, milkshake, but it was still tasty. My sister’s Cooling Lemonade came in a big glass with cucumber, mint and ice.

For lunch, I went for the three tapas dishes for £9.95 offer, and chose Patatas Bravas with roasted garlic mayo, the Halloumi, Courgettes & Peppers pan-fried in rose harissa and Buttermilk Chicken with chipotle mayo dip. They were well-presented on a special board and also came with a bowl of slices of bread and sachets of butter. My sister said that her meal, the Chicken, Bacon & Avocado Burger , was a bit cold but still nice. It came with a cup of chips and house slaw on the side.

Overall, this is a nice place to visit, despite some aspects of the food not being to our taste.
